Botulinum toxin type A is FDA-approved for specific cosmetic indications — frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet. Other areas above, including the lip flip and masseter, are treated off-label; we tell you before we treat.
Most healthy adults who want to soften movement lines. We do not treat during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain neuromuscular conditions, with a known allergy, or over an active skin infection. A short health-history review confirms it suits you.
Pinpoint redness and small bumps settle within about an hour; a bruise is possible. Less commonly, temporary heaviness or a lid droop can occur if product spreads — it resolves as the effect wears off. Results vary.
Both are botulinum toxin type A, dosed in units that are not interchangeable. Dysport shows a little sooner and spreads slightly more; Botox stays more contained, which suits precise work around the eyes — we choose together at your consultation.
