Because Sculptra works by building collagen, results appear gradually over several weeks to months. Most people complete a series of sessions, and final results commonly last more than two years. Individual results vary.

Discomfort is generally mild, and the product is often mixed with lidocaine. You may have temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising, and small bumps that typically settle. We'll provide aftercare, which usually includes massaging the treated area.

Sculptra Aesthetic is FDA-approved for correcting nasolabial folds and other facial wrinkles in healthy adults; the original Sculptra was first approved for facial volume loss related to HIV. Side effects are usually mild and temporary; rarely, small nodules can form. A trained injector minimizes risks.

Not in the same way as hyaluronic-acid filler. HA fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme (hyaluronidase), but Sculptra works by stimulating your own collagen, so there's nothing to simply dissolve — instead the effect gradually fades as your body naturally breaks the material down over time. That's exactly why we go slowly across a series of sessions and build conservatively, so your result stays natural and balanced.

Sculptra generally isn't recommended if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, are allergic to any of its ingredients, or have a history of keloid or raised (hypertrophic) scarring.
