Nearly all of them, and that is the practical advantage of an hour worked by hand: the pressure and the products are chosen for the skin in the room and changed during the session if it asks for something different, so nothing about the hour is locked in before your skin has been seen. If what you want is a hydrating facial, this is the one — the steam, the hydrating mask and the closing pass with lotion are the whole point of the hour for dry and dehydrated skin. Congested skin gets the deep clean it rarely gets at home. Sensitive skin does well here because nothing abrasive and no peeling agent is involved — the work simply stays gentle and finishes with a calming mask. Every visit begins with a skin and health history check, and we do not diagnose skin conditions; if something needs a diagnosis, we will say so and point you to a physician.
We time it around a few things so your skin gets the best of it: an active cold sore or any open or blistering spot on the face, inflamed or pustular acne in the area, an active rosacea flare, sunburn or otherwise healing skin, and freshly treated skin after a laser session or peel — in each of those cases we simply book you once it has settled. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell us when you book: the treatment itself is gentle, and we will adjust your positioning and the products we use, but we would ask you to check with your obstetrician (OB) or midwife first. After facial surgery, or if you have had lymph node surgery or radiation, we will want your surgeon's or physician's go-ahead before we start.
Yes — and the timing is easy to get right here, because the people who inject and the person who does your facial work in the same building and can simply check with each other. Had injectables recently? Tell us when you book. We schedule your session at least two weeks after dermal filler and at least 24 hours after a neurotoxin appointment — or sooner if your injector clears it.
