Though commonly called laser hair removal, our medical-grade IPL uses filtered, broad-spectrum pulsed light rather than a single laser wavelength, and we select the filter and settings for your skin tone, hair color and treatment area. Because hair grows in cycles, most clients need a series of about 6–8 sessions to catch each follicle in its active growth phase. Over the series, regrowth typically becomes less dense, finer and easier to maintain — the FDA-recognized result is long-term hair reduction, kept up with occasional touch-ups. IPL works best on darker hair and may suit Fitzpatrick skin types I–V (the clinical scale for skin tone and sun response) after an individual assessment.
